Mimaki UJF6042-E Tabletop LED UV Printer
High-resolution A2-size tabletop LED-UV flatbed printer designed for direct-to-object printing on promotional products, industrial components, awards, signage, packaging, and specialty applications with media up to 5.9" thick.
Characteristics
The Mimaki UJF-6042 Tabletop LED-UV Printer is a professional flatbed inkjet printing system engineered for high-quality direct-to-object production on a wide variety of rigid and specialty substrates.
Designed around a generous 24.0" x 16.5" maximum print area, the UJF-6042 provides approximately A2-size printing capacity while supporting materials up to 5.9" (150 mm) thick. This combination makes the printer suitable for producing customized promotional products, awards, plaques, signs, industrial components, gift merchandise, nameplates, packaging prototypes, and other value-added products.
The UJF-6042 is capable of resolutions up to an impressive 1,800 x 1,800 dpi. Mimaki's variable-dot technology can produce multiple drop sizes, including a minimum drop size of approximately 4 picoliters, helping create smooth gradients, fine details, small text, photographic images, and precise graphics.
A precision ball-screw-type head conveyance mechanism improves ink-drop placement accuracy as the printhead travels across the media. Originally derived from Mimaki's higher-end printing technology, this system helps minimize banding while supporting accurate, high-resolution output.
The printer uses UV-curable ink and LED-UV curing technology, allowing the ink to cure during the printing process. This makes it possible to print directly onto a broad selection of compatible substrates, including plastics, glass, metals, and many other rigid materials.
Depending on the installed ink configuration, the UJF-6042 supports process colors along with specialty ink options such as white and clear. White ink can be used as an underbase when printing onto transparent or colored materials, while clear ink provides opportunities for decorative gloss and specialty effects.
Mimaki's MCT (Mimaki Circulation Technology) circulates white ink to help reduce pigment settling and maintain more consistent white-ink performance.
The vacuum-equipped flatbed table helps hold compatible media securely in position during printing, supporting accurate image placement and repeatable production.
With its combination of high resolution, substantial object clearance, UV-LED curing, specialty ink capabilities, and direct-to-object printing versatility, the UJF-6042 provides a flexible production platform for businesses producing customized merchandise and specialized industrial graphics.

- The UJF-6042 is a discontinued / end-of-sale Mimaki printer model.
- The successor family is the Mimaki UJF-6042MkII.
- Maximum media weight is reduced when using the height-adjustment configuration.
- Verify the machine configuration before loading heavy objects.
- Confirm current availability of compatible inks, replacement parts, software support, and service when purchasing or operating used equipment.
- Confirm that the substrate is suitable for UV printing before beginning production.
- Perform adhesion testing whenever introducing a new substrate or product.
- Some materials may require an appropriate primer to achieve acceptable ink adhesion.
- Keep the printing surface clean and free from dust, oil, fingerprints, and other contamination.
- Position objects securely on the flatbed before printing.
- Use the vacuum table when appropriate to help stabilize compatible flat media.
- Confirm media thickness and head clearance before starting a print job.
- Never exceed the printer's specified media height or weight limits.
- Use white ink as an underbase when additional opacity is required on dark, colored, or transparent substrates.
- Use compatible clear ink to produce decorative gloss and specialty finishing effects when supported by the installed ink configuration.
- Follow Mimaki's prescribed maintenance procedures for the printhead, capping station, wipers, and surrounding maintenance components.
- Maintain the white-ink circulation system according to Mimaki's recommendations.
- Keep the printer within Mimaki's specified temperature and humidity ranges for dependable operation.
- Test adhesion, flexibility, chemical resistance, and durability before committing to production quantities.
- Never look directly at the UV light source or expose skin directly to the UV light source.
- Use Mimaki-approved inks and maintenance materials appropriate for the installed ink configuration.
- Because the UJF-6042 is an end-of-sale model, confirm availability of inks, replacement parts, software compatibility, and service support when purchasing or operating used equipment.
